Construction Progress Update

Optimum Performance Sports / Fort Wayne Orthopedics / Dupont Hospital

Sports Performance Center

Project Overview:

The Optimum Performance Sports (OPS) Center was created to fill the growing demand for comprehensive athletic training and sports medicine rehabilitation. Today’s athletes are dedicated to their respective sport or fitness and must train their entire body to produce optimal results.

This facility offers two areas of indoor turf for field event agility and skills workout programs. A performance center with the latest in weight and aerobic equipment is dedicated to personalized training for athletes. There is an adult fitness center, elevated three-lane fitness track, four basketball/volleyball courts, aerobics/group instruction space, teen lounge, child watch center, two nutrition bars and a sandwich shop.

OPS partners with Fort Wayne Orthopedics to provide sports medicine focused physical therapy in its rehabilitation suite. It is their goal to provide a facility where people of all age groups can learn how to properly exercise, increase coordination and stamina and ultimately live a healthier lifestyle.

4.21.2021 Construction Progress

Construction has progressed over the past few months. Crews have started mudding and sanding interior walls within the FWO Suite. Dry fog painting of the exposed ceilings has begun in the performance sports area and the gymnasium is prepped and ready.

Over the next few weeks, workers will continue wrapping up the exterior finishes, giving the community a better picture of the finished product.
