Project Description:

The DeKalb Health Surgery Center is phase 1 of a comprehensive, long-range strategic master plan for the hospital.  The Surgery Center contains, on its third floor, 4 operating rooms, 3 endoscopy suites, pre-operative holding, PACU, central decontamination, sterile processing and staff areas.

The Center was designed to create the best possible healing environment for the patients.  Each pre-operative holding area has exterior views, as do the waiting areas, staff spaces, and even two of the operating rooms.  In addition to exterior views, the interior design focuses on the use of natural materials and soothing colors to enhance the Center’s wellness aspects.
